Listen to us Ramble ’bout Games & God!
I’m becoming a pretty regular guest of the Theology Gaming Podcast. Of the four existing episodes, I’m recorded on two and things I wrote were discussed on the others. It’s been pretty rad talking to Zachery Oliver, Pat Gann, and friends!
In our latest recording, we discussed the relationship between Megaman 2 and The Rule of Life. It might sound like a bit of a stretch, but stick with us.
Also, Megaman 2 was like MY GAME when I was a kid. After playing it for the first time, I spent the next three years of my life drawing characters and designing a world of scenarios based on what I found in that game. Looking back, it’s a little hard to see the simple bosses as anything more than mechanically serviceable. But something won my little boy heart about that game. And it’s worth listening to the discussion.
